Holdfast Grief Tending
Where Community is Medicine for Grievers
Holdfast Grief Tending Collective creates space for grief in our community.
Anchored in kindness and compassion, all sorrow is welcome here.

In February, Chris and Daria joined Lisa and Taylor for an episode of the Foothills Wellness Retreat podcast. Have a listen to the lessons we’ve learned and the transformative power of grief tending.
We explored the importance of grief tending and the role of community in navigating loss. We shared our personal experiences with grief, and how our experiences led them to create a space for connection, ritual, and support. We discussed what it means to truly be with grief, the impact of communal grief work, and why healing isn’t about moving on but moving through.

All grief is welcome.
We create compassionate spaces away from the demands of everyday life.
Our guided activities foster meaningful connections and the sense of belonging longed for by many grievers.
Our circles are places of collective healing within a community that understands.
Whether you are new to grief tending circles or a returning participant, you will find a supportive environment to express, witness, and honour your sorrow.
Entering an offering like this, one worries how depressing it can be dealing with grief. However, with the expertise of Daria and Chris, grounded in the wisdom of Francis Weller, I felt heard, safe, and uplifted by spending time with my grief. I felt lighter, leaving some of the heaviness of grief behind.”
